Philippine Festival & Anak Apparel Screenprints

Illustration, Silk Screen Printing

The brief was to create designs based on celebrating culture and festivities on the Gold Coast, therefore I based illustrated designs on Philippine Festival held anually on the Gold Coast. Using silkscreen printing methods, a range of designs were printed on on card paper for posters and t-shirts.

Upon creating Philippine Festival prints, Anak Apparel was born,in homage to Filipino island culture, with both designs depicting Philippine imagery such as palm and coconut trees, a Buko Halo, the ocean, and of course including the word, ‘Mabuhay!’ meaning welcome.
